The THBEA partners with the TBA to support major education events annually, as well as the development of printed and digital resources. These resources are available to TBA member beekeeping clubs and events across the state.
The Texas Beekeepers Association Annual Convention
This is a multi-day event is usually scheduled for early November. Educational opportunities for beekeepers include expert keynote speakers; specialized workshops; breakout sessions covering a variety of topics; social events; an extensive vendor area, contests and more. Testing for Texas Master Beekeeper certification is usually held at the Annual convention. Average Annual Convention attendance is 300.
The Texas Beekeepers Association Summer Clinic
This one-day education event features an expert keynote speaker and one-hour breakout sessions covering a wide variety of topics. Average Summer Clinic attendance is 400.
THBEA at the State Fair of Texas
Each year, TBA sponsors the Texas Honey Booth at the State Fair in Dallas. This booth showcases honey from beekeepers across the state and THBEA provides educational information about the importance of honey bees to the over 200,000 fairgoers who visit the booth annually
THBEA Printed and Digital Resources
Working with the TBA, THBEA helps fund printed and digital resources available to TBA Associate clubs and events across the state.
THBEA and Community Education
THBEA Board members regularly participate in community education events. These include school presentations; Agri-life Master Gardener events; Earth Day Celebrations, local county fairs, and more. Several of our Board Members serve as officers in local beekeeping clubs around the state.
